that is what the khatib was declaring earlier in response to the ongoing gaza oppression as we speak...

what he meant was that, as we can see today that many and many more muslims (excluding the munafiqun, apparently many of the muslim leaders) today have unite their hearts (thanks to Allah among of which by blessing us with the internet, demonstrations and other communication means) against the onslaught, the zalimness, occupation, oppression by the zionist israel laknated by Allah. Also, day by day, there are martyrs who fought all their heart against the laknat; or martyrs from the innocent civilians.

however, i must say, i myself are very sad with this inhumane tragedy.. and i'm sure many more are sad as well.

but there certainly is no point if we allow sadness take over us ie depression.

Few ayats from quran that i might be able to quote on the matter is as follow:

Ali Imran 3, ayat 139
Faint not nor grieve, for ye will overcome them if ye are (indeed) believers. (139)

Yunus, the end ayat, ayat 109
And (O Muhammad) follow that which is inspired in thee, and forbear ( info: ni mksudnya bersabar wallahualam) until Allah give judgment. And He is the Best of Judges. (109)
